Hi there, my name is Martin Meyer alias BOBBY from Savva Records|Namasteria Booking & Events.
In 2011 started my career as a dj in the german psytrance scene. 2013 i had my first open air experience at the “Magnolia Open Air” near Hamburg and 2014 i presented my first live set at the “Alles ist vergeben und vergessen Birthday Bash”(Alte Raeucherei/Kiel).

Your life-story and relationship with your work

Tell us a little about you and your work:
In 2011 i met Marcel Neetz (aka. ConnexX/Prog On Syndicate Rec.), he inspired me the most, introduced me into the scene and also helped me a lot with my career. I’m a progressive trance dj & live act, my style is a reaches from simple offbeat progressive trance to very funky and sunny dirty progressive (135 – 145BPM).

Currently what projects are you working on? And what future plans have you chalked out for yourself?:
Right now I’m working on my first EP, i allready got a big range of tracks, but i only want to release high quality and fresh new sound. I don’t got plans for the future, cause i never thought, that i’ll make it this far, so I just let myself drift with the wind and see what will happen.

What influenced you to get into your field?:
Befor psytrance, i worked in many other genre’s, like hip hop, metal & reggea for example. I can play a lot of instruments and also, i listen to very much music, so it is realy hard for me, to specify it.

As an artist, what role do you think you play in society?:
At the moment I’m still one of our local musicians in the scene, who hasen’t come in touch with the international music buisiness, but the time runs fast and so also my career, so I’m very excited, what the univers got for me in future.

You obviously love what you do…but what do you love the most about your work?:
Many things, for example the time in the studio, where i can let my inner freaks out, but also the time behind the turntables, every single set is pure magic for me, but mostly the people, they make this scene so wonderful.

Creating on a regular basis can be a bloody tough job, so what motivates you to press yourself into the workstation every single day?:
Nothing, I’m completly filed with positive emotions. Don’t exactly know, where this comes from, but there is nothing in the world, that could stop me thinking positiv.

Everybody has to start somewhere, usually at the bottom of the ladder, either as the bus-boy or the shoe-shiner. What was the very first job you had?:
Printer in a 2 men workplace

What is your second love? What’s the alternative career path you would have travelled if you were not on the one you are right now?:
Design, more precisly web and print product design

Share your experiences and your characteristics/personality

No man is an island’- they say, in this light, what quality do you admire the most in others?:
I’m very emotional… that sucks sometimes, but i think, that it helps me been a good person

Sometimes life can be quite a – insert word that rhymes with witch. Which phase was the hardest/scariest in your life?:
lonely place, the most people only think for their selves and forget to give. The hardest phase of my life was the time before psytrance

Any embarrassing moments? Yes, you’d hate to disclose your secrets but we’d love to hear.:

Back in my days, everything was better.

My agility, don’t know why, but I think, I’ll miss it some day.

That no one has to starve and die of thirst!

Your opinions and viewpoints

Got any theories on how the universe blossomed into existence or on the rationale of life? Are we in the matrix? Did god knit a hologram?:
Everything was just a big coincidence, a singularity put out a lot of energy and after billion years we came to this point.

In an era where most people bear a close resemblance to sandpaper, it’s easy to snap. What are your dislikes/pet peeves/frustrations?:

Of course, cause the one, helps the other to work better

Are you pro-weed culture? Why do you think the majority of the population goes against the green?:
Definitly! Cause they know to less about it

Advice for the readers and fans

At the end of the ride, everyone’s looking for some form of success (tangible or not), what does success mean to you?:
When the people understand my, not just like:”yeah, was great blah blah…”, when they realy know, what i wanted to them, that’s success for me
