Deriving strong influences from Drum & Bass, Asian Underground, Indian Fusion, Chill out & Psytrance, he has weaved his own soundscapes and enthralled crowds all over India.
Starting off as a resident Dj in Mumbai, he has moved on to spinning wherever his music takes him…right from uptown party spots like The Club, IBar, Abyss ,Club Escape Rain Lounge, Wink ( Taj Residency) to oldschool music hangouts , in Goa ( 9Bar, Westend ) Pune, Rishikesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi and Nepal.
A familiar name on the Psy festival circuit , he’s graced the lineup at “MOKSHA FESTIVAL” ( International Event , Israel ) in the hills of Kasol, “RAGASTHAN FESTIVAL 2014 ” , “ELECTRO HOLI FESTIVAL”, “BEYOND SPIRIT FESTIVAL ,”FLOWER POWER ” ,”MAGICA FESTIVAL” and opened for the legends SPHONGLE/RAJA RAM and also Block Device and has shared stage with Lucas, Earthling, Harmonic Rebel, Orestis, Paralocks, Bombax, Technical Hitch, Samadhi, Kullu, Stranger, Younger Brother/Prometheus, James Monro, Abomination, Pixel, Psysex, Panayota, Shameless, Beathackers, Ma Faiza,DJ Whosane,Shx, Asad Freeatmah, Tarun Boombaba, BBC, Breed and more..
He has been featured on the SHAANTI, EASTERN ELECTRONICA FESTIVAL UK 2012 as a new and upcoming talent in CHAMPION SOUNDS FUTURE PIONEERS 2012 ONLINE SHOWCASE. His DJ sets and sessions find themselves an audience not only on the dance floor but also on online Radio channels like Radio Schizoid, Radio Flote and Tenzi.fm.
Rutu aka Chromaderma, meaning Color of the skin in Greek, defines him now, as he dabbles in Digital Art too. This painter, graphic-artist, rhythmist has no formal training other than his own unique tastes and a voracious appetite for all things new.
Designing since 5 years and attracted to colors and creation at a very early age, he finds inspiration in nature. spirituality, music , and all elements of creation … He loves to experiment with forms and colours. His styles range from simple, minimal to funky and psychedelic. His portfolio consists of beautiful water color paintings to a wide array of digital art. A lot of his work can be seen on music flyers, posters, logos, music album covers, done for clients all over the world, renowned asian underground artiste TJ Rehmi and Psy record label Indali to name a few.
He has lent his artistic work for events with artists like Electric Universe,Dirty Saffi.,Harmonic Rebel, Shidapu, Kabayun,
A multi talented artiste, he has taken his pseudonym a step further, he is currently learning the art of inking. Making incredible tattoo impressions .

Your life-story and relationship with your work
Tell us a little about you and your work:
I am a psychedelic and Drum and Bass Dj since 2003. Born and brought up in so called dream city of india, Bombay. I am also a graphic designer since 5 years and I have designed for party flyers and posters with logo designing and more. When i don’t Dj and design, I work at a Tattoo Studio in order to learn more creative things.
Currently what projects are you working on? And what future plans have you chalked out for yourself?:
Currently I am doing events all over India and also focusing on my own production. I don’t intend to follow any specific music style but just want to create music that is healing so there is a lot to come form my side in the near future.
What influenced you to get into your field?:
Music was alway in my family but being an Indian, electronic music was not appreciated back in the 80’s. I have been into lot of heavy metal music and classic rock and in the year 1994 i was introduced to psytrance by a friend and 1997 was my first goa trip. At around 1999 i got introduced to drum and bass and then decided to start my own journey of music and more.
You obviously love what you do…but what do you love the most about your work?:
Creativity
Creating on a regular basis can be a bloody tough job, so what motivates you to press yourself into the workstation every single day?:
My motivation comes from my daily practice of yoga and meditation everyday and apart from that seeing art online inspires me even more.
What is your second love? What’s the alternative career path you would have travelled if you were not on the one you are right now?:
Apart from music , i am a graphic designer .

Purity of my self and honesty with the people I am connected to personally or virtually.
