Sérgio Gonçalves aka Stunts born in Lisbon in the late 70 ´s is the face behind Stuntproject.

Sergio first steps into music was at age 7 when he first started to take piano lessons by a blind music teacher but at 11 he decided to try one of his favourite instruments…electric guitar, which made him to take lessons too. 5 years later,he also jointed a trash metal band with some friends.

Passionate about music, Psy Trance entered in his life in 1997 when he went to his first goa party. He was amazed by the people and music and freedom only a party could offer. It took him an year to decided to go further and studied music production and mixing in london. By 2002 is was already producing his own tracks.

By 2012 he made his first move on releasing his work on Labels Worldwide like Geomagnetic Tv, Biomechanix Records, Planet Ben, Up!Noize Rec, Clock Form Records, Ataxia Corp, Trance Gold Records, Dementia Society, EDM, Digital Drugs Coalition, Psy Attack Records and Woorpz Records

His live act is a fusion of powerfull Kicks,strong basslines and vibrating melodies creating an intense psychedelic adventure through which aspires to leave the dance floors alight.

Your life-story and relationship with your work

Tell us a little about you and your work:
Let me see … Usually i work out some ideas, then i try to put them outside of my head into the Daw,the hard part of the history, always looking for the perfect mix… I compose and arrange all of my tracks at my humble studio at my house in Lisbon. During my live shows, my job is mostly the same as in the studio – Controlling synths and tweaks and loops with fx.

Currently what projects are you working on? And what future plans have you chalked out for yourself?:
Currently im working on some new Stuntproject tracks for future releases , trying to achieve a better sound quality and play as many as i can.

What influenced you to get into your field?:
Since young i love music, and soon i start to learn but in 1997 everything changed wen i went to my first Goa Party and i get amazed with al the sounds and all the spirit,later in 2001 i start learning mixing and prodution.

As an artist, what role do you think you play in society?:
Entertain is the most important, but i would also like to think we can always trasmite a message , not even regarding a specific subject, but something for the listener flow in is travel. We want to tell you stories that are open to your own interpretation…

You obviously love what you do…but what do you love the most about your work?:
I Love what i do and im very proud of my achievements,thanks to all the labels who believe im me, but what i like most is playing to the public.

Creating on a regular basis can be a bloody tough job, so what motivates you to press yourself into the workstation every single day?:
I love what i do 🙂

Everybody has to start somewhere, usually at the bottom of the ladder, either as the bus-boy or the shoe-shiner. What was the very first job you had?:
Making cakes at night in a factory.

What is your second love? What’s the alternative career path you would have travelled if you were not on the one you are right now?:
Studing if there is life in other planets.

No man is an island’- they say, in this light, what quality do you admire the most in others?:
Im honest and i try always to do my best.

Sometimes life can be quite a – insert word that rhymes with witch. Which phase was the hardest/scariest in your life?:
The day all my family lost the job 🙁

Any embarrassing moments? Yes, you’d hate to disclose your secrets but we’d love to hear.:

Excessive chopping dulls the axe. Time-outs are a must. What do you do when you take time off from creating? Got any hobbies?:
I spend time when im not producing with my fiancée Elsa and play with my cat and dog 😀
