I met this guy, he’s a DJ. He plays at some real big events. Now he asked me to come with him to this huge festival, and he said I’ll have “AAA” there. Is that a sexual thing, something kinky even? Anyway, I really like this guy. But I’ve never been with a DJ, in the backstage and all that. That makes me a bit nervous. Can you tell me how should deal with this?
Don’t worry: AAA is nothing sexual or kinky. Probably not. AAA stands for Access All Areas – so it means that you get everywhere at a festival. Which again means that you’ll hang with some seriously cool people. When you are backstage, it’s very important to find the right mix of “seen it all, heard it all” and “I’m a freaky party girl”. Means: Make sure you look kind of bored, because you’ve had thousands of great parties already. But then you have to switch to being totally funny and hyperactive, because you are a party animal after all. When you talk to people in backstage always make comparisons to other festivals and events. Also, always mention that you are “totally busy” (use this very phrase) at the moment, as in: Busy with some creative projects.
