MetaHuman is a multidimensional being who wanders trillions of light years through universes of the inner and outer spacetime with one mission to accomplish, to protect all the planets of the known and unknown cosmos from their self destruction. Using his collective memory and experience as a music form, he tries to gather all the intergalactic spiritual powers into one pure positive energy to spread creation, willpower, unity and self respect.

Tell us a little about you and your work?
My name is Konstantinos Kotsoris, i originally come from Greece but i live in Berlin the past 5 years. I produce Hitech psychedelic trance under the name MetaHuman and performing the past 7 years in various events and festivals mainly around Europe . Im also running the Knobs and Keys music label, which i focus on releasing original and innovative electronic music without genre or style .

Currently what projects are you working on? And what future plans have you chalked out for yourself?
Im currently working on tracks for future VA releases as also on the Ultradose project ( a collaboration project with Soundose from Greece ) , the MetaLizard project ( a collaboration project with Cosmic Lizard from Belgium ) and on the Humans on Acid project ( a collaboration project with Acid Combo from Germany ) Besides that, im also working to deliver some good releases from other Artists of the Knobs and Keys records label, which focuses on good music and of course slowly im starting to work on my first solo Album .
What influenced you to get into your field?
I started studying music theory and piano from a very young and experimenting with daws from the time i bought my first PC . Short after i heard the VA Accidental Occidentalism (in a cassette Walkman from a friend ) released under Symbiosis records and i was so blown up from what i was hearing , that i sad to myself that , THAT is what i will do from now on ! Produce this new from me music genre !

As an artist, what role do you think you play in society?
I feel that alongside some fellow artists we push the music envelope to different directions, by bringing not convectional ideas to the table .
You obviously love what you do…but what do you love the most about your work?
The whole process of making sound the visual concept i have in mind, and of course traveling around the world, spreading the vibes on the dance floor and meeting old friends as also making new ones .

Creating on a regular basis can be a bloody tough job, so what motivates you to press yourself into the workstation every single day?
I don’t feel that i press myself to work on music . I just sit in the studio, fire up my setup and make it happen 🙂

Everybody has to start somewhere, usually at the bottom of the ladder, either as the bus-boy or the shoe-shiner. What was the very first job you had?:
Working on construction buildings sites to afford my music lessons, English language lessons and buy my first pc .

What is your second love? What’s the alternative career path you would have travelled if you were not on the one you are right now?:
I would definitely work on the illustration field or behind special fx for movies .

Share your experiences and your characteristics/personality

No man is an island’- they say, in this light, what quality do you admire the most in others?
I could say my dedication to work hard and give the best results possible.

Sometimes life can be quite a – insert word that rhymes with witch. Which phase was the hardest/scariest in your life?

When i had to relocate from Greece to Germany, and have to bring my whole setup with me . For the first 7 months, i was literally leaving in a small kitchen, where was at the same time my bed and my studio . The struggle of setting up a new life in a foreign country, without even speaking the language was really hard ! As also producing in an environment like this , gave me literally nightmares 🙁

Time distortion part 2 is the track that i first used my new audio converter in a new sound treated room and changed my whole mixdown approach . Was the first step for better mixes in general and gave a fresh air into my productions . When have you been most satisfied in your life? Care to share one of your happiest memories?
The first time ever i officially played ! The acceptance of the crowd was so good that and i felt so full that my my hard work payed off !

Habits die hard. Which one word always creeps in your speech?
ehm ..

Knock, knock, we want to hear a good joke.
My dog used to chase people on a bike a lot. It got so bad, finally I had to take his bike away.

There’s a book on the shelf. It’s your autobiography. What does the title say?
How to avoid life’s mistakes you do voer and over again for dummies vol .1 …

Flash-forward in time. You are now really old. What would you tell your children/loved ones?
The struggles i went through to make the perfect snare 😛

Into the time machine again. What do you miss about being a kid?
Not caring if my mix sounds good or not :p

Your hobbies and other fun questions

Excessive chopping dulls the axe. Time-outs are a must. What do you do when you take time off from creating? Got any hobbies?
Retrogaming, watching animation, going to cinema and reading comics .

What’s the last movie/T.V show you saw or book/magazine you read?
Last movie i saw was Blade runner ( for the millionth time ) and the last book i read was Solaris .

Name your all time favourite movie/show/book?

With all the X-men and heroes running around. Us mortals would like some powers too. What one superpower would you choose?
To make my mixes shine 😛

Stop wars and give us equality !

Advice for the readers and fans

At the end of the ride, everyone’s looking for some form of success (tangible or not), what does success mean to you?
Success is being able to sit in your studio, take a big breathe and start making music , despite the everyday life pressures , up and downs or left and rights . In other words to be able to live your dream under any circumstances.
