Das FLOW Experience Festival ist zurück und zieht um!
Viel zu lange ist es her und jetzt gibt es endlich ein Wiedersehen! Zum Abschluss der Festival-Saison sehen wir uns am Festivalgelände Wiesen im schönen Burgenland. Neben zwei Bühnen und einem riesigen grünen Camping-Areal inmitten malerischer Wälder wartet ein abwechslungsreicher Shopping und Marktbereich auf euch. Altbewährtes bleibt, einiges Neues kommt dazu. Das österreichische Flow Festival hat sich während der letzten Jahre vom absoluten Geheimtipp zu einem der beliebtesten Festivals entwickelt. Trotz steigender Beliebtheit ist es aber auch eines der wenigen Open-Airs, das sich seinen familiären Charakter bewahren konnte.
Die Mainfloor Deko überrascht jedes Jahr aufs Neue und eine in der Bühne eingebaute LED Großbildleinwand sorgte zuletzt für psychedelische Effekte auch tagsüber. Was aber letztendlich den besonderen Zauber des Festivals ausmacht, sind die Menschen. In diesem kleinen österreichischen Steinbruch spürt man so richtig die gemeinschaftliche Atmosphäre und die positiven Vibes. Verbindend ist auch die Musikauswahl. Von Psytrance, Psychedelic bis hin zu Dark-Psy und Hi-Tech ist alles dabei. Wir freuen uns schon auf die kommende Festival-Saison und auf das Flow Festival.

FLOW Festival (2016 )Review

The name F.L.O.W. an abbreviation for „Feel Love On Weekend“ reads quite artificial. But that‘s precisely what you got in there.

A quarry as a location for a festival? Yes, please! Shielded from the outer world you can really volume up, it sported a sandy dance floor and fascinatingly enough down there you also have really splendid nature with many small corners and angles.

So now I stood in this quarry, had been coming more than 1000km to the FLOW during the Fusion weekend (June 30 – July 3rd) and looked around.
The main floor decoration was pleasing to the eye anyhow, because one large LED screen provided for continuous psychedelic optics – even during the day. This decoration concept really was something new and craves for a succession. Please!
But what made for the specific magic of the festival were the people. As the FLOW Festival in Austria remains the last Psytrance festival there, you could all but feel the large passion of the audience to have lots of fun right here and at this particular weekend.
The line up was very fitting from the opening performance to Atmos‘ concluding Sunday afternoon set. Furthermore a techno/Prog tent supplied a musically alternative program and within the Avaloka temple you could not only chill but there were also workshops, yoga and live music. Thank you for this terrific festival weekend. It was truly „ur-leiwand“ with you!

The Psytrance community is like a rainbow: Uniting everyone despite their taste is a big challenge. The Austrian FLOW festival has proven to conquer these differences with ease.

Flowing freely, not randomly

Carefully chosen details result in a bigger piece like waves form an ocean: Allow yourself to drifft off and dive into the music instead of rushing around all the time. Only when everything feels right, we can fully live and enjoy the moment and let our energies flow.

If it’s heat, brave the wave

Instead of becoming a profit-hunting mass gathering, appreciation for the guests ensures the festival’s very special atmosphere. In 2016, the sanitary situation is improved and the expanded area structure allows for enough space. And although hopefully the 2015 heat won’t return, if it will – the FLOW is prepared!

Surprise and be surprised

To ensure a collective experience, not every group gets a seperated space. For example, the mainfloor will be hosting Forest and Dark Psy acts as well this year. This makes the festival less predictable. Also, it shows that the flow comes from uniting with a situation and the people, not just by sticking to one’s favourite genre.

F.L.O.W ( Review 2015): Feel Love On the Weekend: FULL MOON Edition

The F.L.O.W Festival 2015 is gearing up to be an experience that trancers will not forget. The festival will take place from take place from 02 July, 2015, to 05 July 2015. The main aim of this festival is to showcase the spiritual aspect of music. Their amazing line-ups are designed to get the dancers into a deep state of enhanced mystical modes of consciousness. Besides the sensual music, a whole army of artists, performers, dancers, will keep you entertained and elevated…Come experience the flow of magic!

The festival is situated in a beautiful nature reserve that is a mere five minute drive from Wiener Neustadt, Austria. There’s even a small river near the festival’s location! You can get there by train, car, or the Nice-Price Shuttle, whatever your choice of transport, be sure not to miss this event.

Since the festival takes place on a nature reserve, the eco-conscious festival organizers take great care to ensure that Mother Nature is respected, hence they have a few rules such as camping outside the F.L.O.W camping site is not permitted, using organic soap, etc. Skilled art deco teams such as Anzu Creations, Mae & Moa, etc, will handle the deco, hence, be prepared to get lost in fabulous fantasy lands that will transport you into an alternate universe ruled by harmonious beauty.

F.L.O.W. means “Feel Love on Weekend” and will last for 4 days this year. The secret of the FLOW is its unique location just 30 minutes south from Vienna that offers a remote quarry without any hassles and a professional organisation. The organisers want to get away from super-expensive big acts and create an atmosphere as it was alive in true Goa times. Be sure to meet most of the Austrian Psytrance family there! Whereas some of the big festivals in Austria went down, had to move out of the country or skip this year – the FLOW’s numbers of fraggles doubled in 2013 to some 1000s.

This year’s line-up sparkles with a fine selection of the best Austrian LIVE-Acts as well as a range of international acts such as Silent Sphere, Cosmosis, Protonica, Ital, Taliesin, Perceptors, Optiloop, Lifeforms, FlowJob, Atma, Argonsphere, Middle Mode and many DJs on 2 floors. This time they plan an extended market area, Fire Dancer’s performance acts with fire, LED and UV and a massive decoration from Mae Moa, Leon Martin, Holodeck and Klangwelt.

The FLOW Festival has developed into Austria’s biggest Psytrance Festival in 2013 – in line with Sonnenklang, Spirit Base and Paradise.
