Ometeotl 2023
Dedicated to the memory of the spirit of Carlos Altamirano:
A transformational festival that seeks to create an encounter where the spirit, the earth, art and music meet the human need to reconnect with the divine.
Ometeotl seeks to provide an experience of belonging and collective union with all that surrounds us. We are a team of dreamers in search of alternatives to find ourselves, express ourselves and grow.
We know that through this intention there is evolution; our mission is the decision and commitment to create a new form of connection using all kinds of material and spiritual tools to transform humanity and recognise our roots.
We are all Ometeotl, in each one of us exists the possibility to change the universe. Through this meeting we seek to make a collective prayer that generates consciousness. Using art and music as means of communication. Ometeotl is a platform to raise the spirit of humanity.
In such difficult times where as a society we have disconnected from our inner selves, we know that it is of great importance to sow seeds of information and create spaces where through love and union the human spirit has the freedom to grow and reconnect with what we have always been: beings of light. Ometeotl is the force that can help us to awaken.
The festival features more than 50 live musical acts and an extensive programme of activities related to spirituality, ecology and art. The festival is attended by guardians and representatives of different traditions, artists and specialist collaborators who offer workshops, talks, demonstrations and exhibitions on these themes to the public.
We are pioneers in implementing initiatives to create an ecologically responsible gathering. We try to reduce the creation of disposable materials, all waste is recycled in a correct way. The entire infrastructure is built with bio-construction techniques and with certified and other recycled materials. Water is free at the festival for all attendees.
