Naoto Hattori was born in 1975 in Yokohama Japan. Looking at his one-of-a-kind pictures often provokes a weird cocktail of emotions – a truly psychedelic experience!
What was the most bizarre thing you‘ve seen recently?
I see hieroglyph letters when I wake up in the morning once or twice a year. I don‘t know what that is… the letters are very bright and moving.
What‘s your relationship to mushrooms?
I love to draw mushrooms but I’m slightly allergic, so I try not to eat them.
What has been the most psychedelic experience in your life?
Not so many people are into painting, but practicing and creating something in the stream of consciousness of your head every day, you will be able to control your mind without thinking deeply. You can see your feelings visually.
What are the 3 most important features of a good painter?
Express yourself. Do not compromise what you think. Don‘t think too much and let yourself go.
