For the 2023 edition of Origin we will limit attendance to 3000 tickets only (1000 tickets per Ticket-Tier).
Ticket prices will remain the same as the 2022 edition (with Tier 1 being even cheaper than the previous edition) to make the festival as affordable as possible while ensuring a sustainable event that remains at the high production standards we strive for.
For nearly two decades Origin Festival has been synonymous for pushing the boundaries of outdoor events in South Africa. Having relaunched in 2022 after the global pandemic under regulations that limited the event to only allowing 2000 people to attend (down from previous years of 5000 attendees,) and after seeing what a fresh and amazing energy it was to scale down and re-focus we have decided to increase the amount of tickets we will offer for the 2023 edition, but not to the same amounts as pre-pandemic years.
We believe regrowing slowly and with a renewed focus will only make Origin stronger for the years to follow, and we thank all of you who share and trust in this vision too.

A fresh new Psychedelic Temple envisioned and built by world leading dance floor creators, sound-tracked by the best Psychedelic music from around the globe! Rocking through Friday night with amazing local talent Psytrance talent, followed by chilled beats rolling through Saturday morning and lunchtime, before launching into the stratosphere again for Saturday night and all day Sunday with more big stomping dance floor beats.

After 2022's edition giving us what was without doubt the most energetic Beats floor we have ever had, we cannot wait to make the circle bigger and shake bodies amongst the trees alongside the beautiful Elandskloof river. The grass lawn awaits your towels where you can dip into the fresh mountain water between groovy dance floor sessions.
Warm Techno and Organic Deep House collide into a euphoric explosion of good vibes!

Opening Times
Gates Open for the Festival Friday at 12:00pm
Gate Closes at 12pm on Sunday!! - No Further Entrance Allowed thereafter.
Music stops on Sunday 4pm

There are No farm cottages / farm accommodation available to rent, please do not call the farm to enquire about this.
The festival uses all farm accommodation.
We will have Glamping options for anyone looking for an accommodation solution. See below.

2.2m x 2.2m Dome tent, 2 foam mattresses, bed covers + 2 covered pillows.
Set-up in general camping, under the trees.
Make your life easy and only bring your sleeping bag and clothes with this tent and 2 mattress set-up.

Luxury and peaceful Camping options set in a private and secure area, with 24/7 management, that includes exclusive and well managed Toilets for exclusive use by Camp Comfort attendees only.

Large 3m dome tents you can stand up in with high quality foam mattresses, cotton sheets, pillows and bedding.

Spacious 4m canvas Bell tents with a king size bed, cotton sheets, pillows and bedding and lighting.
The bed can be split into 2 singles if required.

The ultimate in festival camping luxury.
8m x 3m, front and rear door, side windows, patio and large awning with en-suite bathroom.
King size double bed, with cotton sheets, bedding and pillows.
Chairs, side tables, standing mirror and lighting.
Bathroom portion of the tent has your own personal chemical flush camping toilet, basin, and shower. (Hot bucket camping showers will be available at scheduled times throughout the event, and serviced by our crew for you.)
Set up in a 'quiet' field. ..well.. as quiet as a music festival can be..

Elandskloof Guest Farm, Helderstroom.
Our home is the beautiful Elandskloof tucked away between Villiersdorp and Greyton, only 125 Km from Cape Town. This lush green valley with its fresh mountain streams, welcoming forest filled with Oaks, YellowWoods and Redwoods; and towering mountain backdrops, beckons us once more for an adventure in connecting, laughing, relaxing and enjoying nature in all its glory.

DIRECTIONS
Take the N2 past Somerset West over Sir Lowreys Pass.
Continue past Botrivier.
Turn left onto the R43 / Villiersdorp turnoff.
After 14km turn Right towards Helderstroom / Greyton.
Follow the road past Helderstroom prison (on your left).
The road becomes a gravel/dirt road. - SLOW DOWN
Travel on the dirt road until you get to a Y junction.
At the Y Junction take the Left fork and immediately follow the road straight ahead.
Look for arrows and signs.

Take what you bring with you home and dispose of it there. The Farm must be respected and treasured as the gift it is. Please treat it as such and keep it clean.
TICKETS - don't be duped!
Only buy tickets online from Quicket. Nothing else can be trusted! If you really have to buy from someone, please double check with Quicket first to authenticate the ticket you are buying is real, (or ideally buy it on re-sale via Quicket Mytickets section) and never just send money over to someone you don't know... there are many Con-Artists out there eager to take advantage of you, don't be duped!

LOCAL COMMUNITY
We are blessed with a beautiful venue, surrounded by a community that lives there all year round. Please respect their space by driving slowly & carefully, not stopping on other farm properties, do not leave any roadside litter, be respectful if visiting any local shops along the way and be thankful for this community to allow us to return each year.
BE AWARE
Trust your instincts. Do not accept drinks in open containers. Report suspicious behaviour.
Keep your valuables safe at all times, ideally on your person. Leave laptops and cameras at home.
BUTTS, the smokey kind..
The ground is not an ashtray, please respect the environment and the venue and keep cigarette butts off the ground.
