Smoketown.de is searching for cool bong artworks. The second artist from this series is Maddy Cornish. In this interview she gives us some fine insights about herself, and her art!
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a 20 year old Fine Arts student. My influences include Android Jones, Ozabu and Saffronlungs.
What motivated you to get into creating Bong related artwork?
I had just bought my first really small, cute bong, and the desire to draw it resulted in this drawing.
Do you create art better when you are super stoned?
Back when I was making really colourful, psychedelic art, blazing totally helped me focus on the fine lines and intricate patterns.
Do you think Bong Artwork promotes positivity towards cannabis?
Art, in all forms, exists as a very powerful catalyst for change. I think that we need more art portraying cannabis as the powerful, sacred medicine that it is.
Give us a brief background of your culture, and how weed is viewed by general society.
Being that I am from Vancouver Island, there is a very distinct cultural significance of marijuana in specific social groups. BC is the home of many actively outspoken cannabis advocates.
