Cannabis sweets, danger or medicine for children?

While in some states arguments run high that cannabis sweets pose dangers to children, a candy flavoured prescription drug has been approved.
While especially in Colorado and Washington authorities aim to ban sweets containing THC from the recently legalised market, as these could be mistaken for usual sweets by children, elsewhere in the USA candy-flavour is regarded a sales-argument for a prescription drug containing amphetamine.
