A team of researchers have created history by conducting the world’s first visual mapping of the brain under the effects of LSD. A group of twenty participants; 5 females and 15 males dosed with 75 mg of LSD, were the subjects of the study.

This study is groundbreaking because it involves a group of mainstream scientists who wish to discover the therapeutic benefits of LSD. Unfortunately, due to the still illegal status of LSD, the project lacked conventional financers and was subsequently short of £25,000 needed for scan analysis. Luckily, crowdfunding  came to the rescue, and 500 backers donated more than £17,000 within the allocated span of 44 days. A win for the people!

The Director of the Beckley Foundation asks, “What could be more interesting than understanding better, how we are the way we are?”
