I can tell a lot of things the last 25years of Psytrance, which i lived and shared entirely. It started from a Rave in a forest or in old farm, grew from experimental to underground and now we can say it is a standard… Electronic music was 1 genre, became rapidly a lot of genres and styles , music which was considered only as a “Boom boom sound ” in the early 90’s became used by all music industry nowadays. The evolution came threw the festivals and open air events, which have been developed around the globe brung the Psytrance as a culture knowledge. The music has never stopped improving in technic, teach in school now, Trance has evolved faster than other electronic music genres, because it always express all kind of feelings and can use inspirations anywhere, in any others styles of music.
What was your favourite festival of the last 25 years – and why?
It is hard to choose between the 3 obviously giants festival in history of Psytrance, Ozora, Boom and Universo Paralello festival.. but i am glad to participate in VooV Experience festival organization, the oldest Psytrance festival in Europe, and we can only favourite the mother of all festivals.
Which artist was for you the most important Psytrance Act of the last 25 years – and why?
There are many excellent artists in our Psytrance scene, dj’s which improved and stayed popular along the decades.. we could tell about Astrix, Ace ventura of course… We could speak about genius like GMS, Atmos, Neelix, Vini vici who bring it to another level each of them in it’s best periods… But i would like to put Tristan on top of all this, because he always been here, renewing its style and having the perfect mentality to over cross the years with success.
Share your most intense Psytrance experience ever
My most intense Psytrance experience was in 1999 in Ibiza, we had an illegal party near Beniras beach at the helicopter base in the top of the hill. Some more than 1000 people came to celebrate together. I was really young DJ, “the spin” were so intense that the organizer came to me after 3H set and asked me to keep going until the end, refusing all others big DJ’s to play… i think i played 6 or 8h and the flow never stopped, we we were all together in the same “spin”. amazing!

Goa Trance has been, for many of us in the USA, a difficult road to follow, with many pot holes and bumps along the way. Altho I was able to get my hands on many goa records and CDs as an emerging DJ, I found myself writing trance in the basement of Space Dub Studios beginning around 1994.
One night I was invited to join the organisation of Earth Dance for their event at a squatted location in Amsterdam, which was a global party that was simultaneously taking place in hundreds of locations around the globe
Durch Trance zurück – zurück zu den Wurzeln und Energie bündeln für Harmonie und Einklang und dies nicht zuletzt mit der fantastischen Natur!
It was 2009 when I, aged 22, moved to live in Goa with my 6-months old son Marko. I was chilling and going to parties together with my child for a couple of years, and then when he was grown up enough to stay away in a local kindergarden, I started to hand-craft clothing.
Alongside the various CD booklets, few printed magazines and local radio stations, mushroom magazine was definitely for me the ‘internet’ of the pre-internet era. Whatever insight i got into our scene was through these few mediums.
